Foraging Prohibited: Take only pictures, leave only footprints on Ganaraska Conservation propertiesTake Only Pictures, Leave Only Footprints On Ganaraska Conservation Properties

Conservation lands, including the Ganaraska Forest, are home to many diverse ecosystems, thriving in the naturalized state the GRCA strives to maintain.

Foraging can have a damaging impact on this delicate balance and is why foraging is prohibited on GRCA lands. Plants sought after by foragers have a limited window to develop and perform important tasks in these ecosystems. These plants will not have time to recover when harvested irresponsibly and can vanish altogether from an area.

While visiting the Ganaraska Forest and GRCA conservation areas, please take only pictures and leave only footprints.
