Public Consultation: Draft GRCA Watershed-Based Resource Management Strategy
Public consultation on the Draft Watershed-Based Resource Management Strategy (WBRMS) has begun and will continue until November 18th, 2024.
The purpose of the Draft WBRMS is to assist the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority (GRCA) with developing and enhancing the delivery of programs and services supporting mandatory (Category 1) programs in service of municipal partners and the broader watershed community.

Important Logging Safety Reminders For Ganaraska Forest Users
The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority (GRCA) would like to remind Forest users to exercise caution and yield the right-of-way to logging equipment during timber harvest operations in the Ganaraska Forest.
Avoiding parking lots and routes that could conflict with logging operations is the safest way for visitors to enjoy the Forest during these operations. Please check the Ganaraska Forest Trails Map for trail / road closures related to the annual harvest, before planning your visit to the Forest.
Ten Thousand Villages Cobourg Presents Tree Planting Donation To the GRCA
Ten Thousand Villages Cobourg has contributed more than $7,000 to the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority (GRCA) through its, “10,000 Trees from Ten Thousand Villages,” anniversary fundraising initiative.
At the October 17, 2024, GRCA Board Meeting, Barb Henderson, Board Chair of Northumberland Fair Is Fair Trade Group, the not-for-profit corporation which operates the store, presented a cheque for $7,335 to the Authority.
