Enlivening School Curriculum
It takes just a single 30-minute visit to a green space per week to lower blood pressure and other markers of stress.
Learning in nature has also been shown to restore attention spans, develop self-discipline, promote social connection, nurture creativity, and increase levels of engagement and enjoyment of learning. To take advantage of these benefits, and so many more, bring your students to the GFC for a day in the forest!
People love the GFC for so many reasons. One of the biggest reasons? Your visit is custom-tailored to your group’s needs. Whether you are exploring the senses with a class of kindergartners, looking to develop social skills in your 6th graders, wanting to bring your Grade 11 biology curriculum to life, or to challenge your post-secondary students, we have a program for you! We have also designed experiences for youth community groups and corporate clients.

We Can Visit You!
Can’t visit us in the forest? Let us bring one of our exceptional programs to you!
The green space in our schools and neighbourhood parks is an underappreciated and underutilized resource for rich learning experiences. It is also the nature that is often most accessible for students in their lives outside of school hours.
Let us help to nurture a connection to these spaces by teaching in them. Many of our programs can be creatively adapted to fit the green space in your schoolyard or neighbouring park.
So fun, so engaging, and so easy and close!
We Can Virtual Too!
The GFC also offers a unique set of virtual experiences that you will not find in our in-person program listings.
We recognize that different learning environments require different strategies for effective teaching, and so we developed a suite of interactive synchronous virtual experiences that students can join from school or from home.
Each of these climate change-themed lessons is sure to engage and challenge your students’ knowledge and attitudes concerning the environment.
