Celebrate your special day and exchange your vows in the quiet tranquility of the Ganaraska Forest and at the Ganaraska Forest Centre (GFC).
This do-it-yourself, destination-style wedding venue includes your choice of an outdoor ceremony site, a large spacious reception hall with a beautiful stone fireplace, many picturesque locations for fun and unique wedding photos and overnight accommodations for you and your guests.
The Heart of the Ganaraska Forest
A variety of rental options are available depending on your group size and needs.
The Ganaraska Forest Centre (GFC) is centrally located in the heart of the majestic 11,000-acre Ganaraska Forest; this multi-purpose facility is perfect for hosting weddings, corporate training and other special events and is within an hour’s drive of Toronto, Peterborough and Cobourg.
In addition to a stunning Great Hall with a beautiful stone fireplace and several beautiful breakout rooms, the GFC boasts 20 dormitory style bedrooms that can accommodate 80 individuals for an overnight stay. Organizers can stay in separate suite accommodations with private bathroom facilities. We even have high-speed fibre internet to ensure that you have the best internet connection to serve your event needs!
The Great Hall
Wedding ceremonies may also be held in the Great Hall — a particularly lovely spot for a winter fireside ceremony.
The Great Hall on its own has the capacity for 165 guests for a meeting or reception but, when combined with the Seminar Room, can accommodate up to 200 guests. Couples can host their wedding ceremony in the ever-popular Maple Valley or one of our other many picturesque outdoor settings. A weekend kitchen, dining hall, and a fire pit area are also available for use.
Wedding rentals include use of the full facility for the full weekend.

We welcome recreational photographers. However, professional photoshoots, such as engagement photos, require all participants to purchase a day pass. Please notify GRCA prior to your photoshoot to avoid conflicts with other bookings.
